Pristine City

Hey all, just thought I'd update on what this project actually is.

It's a project is started about a year ago to test out CS4's new 3D tools, which I plan to master! Here's a few screenshots of the flash I plan to stretch my wings on (although none of them are actually 3D).

What's the plan for music?

There really isn't much of a storyline, it's just like my moment of bliss piece. It's a aerial run around of Pristine City and it's Metro underground.

Basically it's a mock tourism advertisement for a city that doesn't exist.

Very early and quic test I made for new 3D techniques in Flash CS4


Used Flash CS4 Only.

Later in the production I'll be using Fireworks CS4 to make textures and glare effects for the shiny buildings.

As you can see I made a grid to mimic an actual 3D editor environment, unfortunately Flash lacks the ability to create and handle actual 3D polygons, and thus all shapes will clip into each other regardless of anything I do, and it requires constant re asigning of layers to hide this.

Damn dude... that is really sexy! I want to get into flash and do that right... NOW!

too bad my comp is down. I'd say through some easing down on your movements so that your "camera" moves more smoothly on the turns. Unless that's a style you're going for.

if your having trouble with a 3d program (flash i dont think is the best for this) use Blender, i use it for my mesh creations and its got cinematic camera veiw tools so it looks similar. its free to, but seems like you like CS5 - 4 better than anything so...
