What is AuraCore?

AuraCore made its first flash animation, Speed of Sound, back in 2006, since then we've been making music collabs. But what is AuraCore really? What do we strive for? What is it we want to accomplish? These are questions I've been asked since we became a group, and honestly I've never been able to really answer them. I'm going to do that today, I'm going to answer all of those questions.

The first member of AuraCore was Winterwind, Ngawang Samphel, a composer that I felt inspired by. He's been making music faithfully for AuraCore for 4 years. Personally I've been motivated by his music, and most of my effects styles you see today are inspired by him, he's been an important friend for me and everyone in AuraCore since we've started. We've had many members join and leave over the years, but the most important are Jeinu, BlackTigerPro, TheoArt, and PheoRach.

Through most of 2009, AuraCore was on a hiatus, and I was even considering disbanding AuraCore, and extinguishing the dream for good. I was actually expecting AuraCore to fall apart even, without me to guide it, I didn't think anyone would care enough to stay involved.

It was a mistake, I was a fool to try to get rid of AuraCore like that. Not only did AuraCore hold together, all of our dreams are still there. Myself, Jeinu, TheoArt, BlackTigerPro, Winterwind and PheoRach. We were all there when the new year started, we all still talked to each other. We were a group of friends, we didn't need to animate, or make music. But we still inspired each other, we were there for each other when things got tough.

Over the 4 years AuraCore has been a group, we've built friendships that will change our lives forever. Even though most of us had never even met in real life, we still managed to hold together.

Ngawang (Winterwind) compossed a song called "a moment of bliss" after our third collab was released. It was a symbol of friendship for all of us in AuraCore, I never told him this but it was a song that I've considered very important, even to this day. Listening to it reminded me of what AuraCore was, what brought us together in the first place. I didn't just run around looking for people to make cartoons with, we were all drawn together. We found each other, and ever since we've all had a connection. One year later I made a flash animation to this song, to signal the rebirth of AuraCore, to show that we weren't going to fade away.

This is the strength that AuraCore has had all along, that only grew stronger as time passed. Yet it lay wasted, because I couldn't see that.

My final words, to every new member of AuraCore, welcome. Let's build this connection with each other, and together we can build inspiration for future generations. We will harness this strength to make what we cannot on our own.
